I am a winter baby! A winter baby who has sensitive and dry skin. My skin can become so dry and cracked; that it requires constant TLC. As a skincare enthusiast, proper skincare has been one of my goals for the new year. Every week I incorporate face masks into my skincare routine, which includes a combination of sheet, mud and peel masks. Sheet and peel off masks are my absolute favorite.
I was thrilled when 7th Heaven sent me a few of their masks to try. Intrigued by the Creamy Coconut Mask, I decided to give it a whirl. Coconut and coconut water are known for their hydrating effects. According to the website, the main ingredients in the mask are shea nuts, coconut and ground cocoa.
The Coconut Cream Mask has a light tropical scent, which is not overpowering. I don’t like overly fragrant masks since my skin is super sensitive. Furthermore, since I am prone to eczema breakouts, I am more cognizant of products that I use. The mask has a paste-like consistency. I applied it using the Elf Mask Applicator Tool. This tool is very handy as it makes application a breeze. I left the mask on for 15 minutes until it dried.
The mask will become very stiff once dried. There was a pleasant tingling feeling I experienced. Especially under the eyes and on the forehead. I would suggest using a mask removal tool as it makes the process much easier. I use Ecotools Mask Remover Sponges. My skin felt a little dry after I removed the mask and washed the remnants from my hairline. However, it felt really smooth. I followed up with my normal nightly routine which includes my serum and a heavy moisturizer.
I look forward to trying other masks by 7th Heaven. You will not be disappointed.
